Friendship, Jobs & Travel - A Catch-Up Chat

Hi Misha,

I had a slow work day so I just wanted to send you a message. I'm glad you understood what I meant by the friendship thing - I definitely wasn't pushing for anything and I'm more than happy to just know you as a friend! But I like to keep things open to future possibilities, you never know. I guess I just didn't want to completely shut that idea out.

I appreciate that you think my job seems interesting. Sometimes I forget the cooler, more useful things we do when I'm stuck with compliance paperwork for two weeks straight! But it's definitely nice to be able to help kids, they're the most in need of being protected.

Your job sounds pretty great though! I'm a little jealous of your 'slow life', as I'm sure you still do pretty well pay-wise and having the time to travel is amazing. I used to love it when I was younger, but time and money have made it more difficult for me now. I've always wanted to go to Hong Kong - I've heard it's an amazing place to visit. So it's pretty neat that you grew up there!

I'm sorry you initially had to come here to take care of your mother. I won't ask about it, you can tell me if you want to. But I did want to say that it makes you a pretty impressive daughter to move across the world to help take care of her!
