The Tragic Tale of Poneic: A Moral Story about Desperation and Greed
Once upon a time, there was a kid named Charles. Charles used to be an ordinary boy. Charles lived in a small village, and helped people. Many people respected him for doing kind things. Also, he would get free things, because he was very nice and fun. His father was named Telt. Telt was a respected toy maker because he would always make good toys for cheap and it was good quality, and he would also do entertaining shows.
Soon they became poor and his father was forced to close down the shop so he started to become desperate for money so he would try to cut costs using cheaper materials and soon people started to not buy his toys. But everyone loved his son Charles and Telt was spying on his son so he can see why he got so popular later on he started to realize so he decided to use all his money to make a doll that acts identical to his son and behaves like his son and whenever his dad always went to go to a meeting he would always say to his son 'Whatever you don't open the door!' as the door was locked and his son always listened but one time his son heard weird noises as if something is living and he heard chains rustling and even on time there was a faint sound like if it’s trying to talk it said 'help me' but he only heard once so he would ignore it but in his head, he thought he kidnapped someone and Charles thought of the time that he once accidentally spilled a cup of milk and his father telt screamed at him which he said, ' WHY DID YOU SPILL THAT CUP!!!!!!' and that him Charles was standing in fear but in a distance he saw a gap from the door a doll that acts identical to his son and behaves like his son. Whenever his dad went to a meeting, he would always say to his son, 'Whatever you don't open the door!' as the door was locked. His son always listened, but one time his son heard weird noises as if something was living. He heard chains rustling and even one time there was a faint noise as if it was trying to talk and as if it was gasping for air. It said 'Help me,' but he only heard it once, he ignored it. In his head, he thought he kidnapped someone. A little while later he was helping someone clean their house but a person kidnapped him.
A few hours later when he woke up. He thought to his mind, 'My head hurts! Uhh What happened?'
He felt as if he was in a different body and that he couldn’t move. That is when his father saw him his father had a large and wide-grinning smile as if his smile was wrapped around his face then he said, 'My boy you are so beautiful, with your wooden body and everything! I think I shall call you Poneic.' After his father said felt as if he has let go and he could move then Poneic looked around that’s when he lifted his hand he saw blood on his hands he started to shake in fear looking around he saw the skin of his face, body, legs he looked at the workbench it was covered in blood and everything was covered in the blood even his dad that’s when Poneic said in a very faint voice 'papa what did you do to me,' His dad said, 'My child I have given you a new body!' That’s when Poneic stood up he went to the bathroom that’s when he saw his fleshy eyes his mouth very basic only moving up and down and his green fedora hat with a feather on top and his white gloves and short blue pants Poneic saw his whole body and he wanted to cry but he couldn’t why? He thought he went to his dad and said, 'Papa how come I can't cry?'
His father responded and he said, 'That’s because I need to make you look happy Poneic for tomorrow!' And then Poneic fell asleep, woke up, and was on strings he tried to talk but he couldn't. That's when his father started to talk and Poneic’s mouth moved. Poneic thought he was being tortured he didn't know why just a second later Father dropped the strings on purpose and Poneic stood up that’s when he said in an angry voice,“ PAPA WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!” That’s when he looked at the crowd everyone was scared he felt his stomach turn that’s when Poneic had a plan and so later on he was on his bed and so when he was sleeping Poneic grabbed a pillow and strangled his dad with a pillow when it was over he did the same thing to his self
The moral of the story is that desperation and greed can lead to terrible consequences. Telt's desperation for money led him to create a doll that ultimately caused the death of both himself and his son. It is important to remember that our actions have consequences and we should always strive to make ethical and moral decisions, even in difficult times.
