Irrigation Timing Impacts Ear and Kernel Development: A Study on Yield Differences

The differences in yield between irrigation treatments were determined by the ear and kernel numbers (Fig.1). This finding is consistent with previous studies that suggest a single irrigation during sowing affects the development of both ear and kernel numbers (Gao et al., 2022; Wang et al., 2018; Zhang et al., 2020).
