Drought Stress Experiment: Leaf Water Content Measurement
Upon completion of the drought stress experiment, leaves from three treatment pots were collected, washed, and dried using absorbent paper. The initial fresh weight (FW) of leaves was measured, followed by immersion in deionized water for 24 hours to obtain the turgid weight (TW). The leaf samples were then dried at 105◦C for 30 minutes and subsequently at 80◦C until a steady weight was achieved. The samples were then weighed to obtain the dry weight (DW), which was used to calculate the Relative Water Content (RWC) using the following formula:
