ATE Firmware and ATPG Vectors: Ensuring Optimal PHY Functionality

ATE firmware is designed to be used in conjunction with ATPG vectors to comprehensively test the PHY. ATPG vectors test the majority of the digital logic, while ATE firmware focuses on testing many analog functions (PLL, LCDLs, IO drivers and receivers, ...), as well as some digital logic not covered by ATPG patterns (for example, certain clock crossing paths). Together, they ensure the PHY operates optimally and meets required performance specifications. The ATE firmware also provides diagnostic capabilities to help identify any issues or failures in the PHY.
