Olanzapine-Induced Metabolic Syndrome: A Gene Co-expression Network Analysis Reveals Potential Therapeutic Targets
This study employed RNA sequencing, weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA), and protein-protein interaction (PPI) analysis to identify co-expression network modules and 5 specific genes. The results indicate a potential association between olanzapine-induced MetS and immune and metabolic pathways. The aim of this study is to provide a novel target for the clinical implementation of early detection and treatment of MetS induced by second-generation antipsychotics (SGAs), as well as a theoretical basis for further investigation of its molecular mechanism.
