Perhaps, we are all like Mo Yan, late bloomers or on the path to being one. Mo Yan came from an ordinary rural family, his success was a case of great talent emerging late, achieved through countless hardships and perseverance, just like the late-maturing rice. They may not be savvy in the ways of the world, but they possess rare sincerity; they may not understand how to seek profit and avoid harm, but they have precious kindness; they may not soar to great heights immediately, but they have plenty of stamina.
