With the widespread adoption of paperless learning, students have access to multiple channels for obtaining learning materials. However, this accessibility comes with drawbacks. A questionnaire survey revealed that many foreign language students perceive online learning materials as fragmented, leading to a significant time investment in sifting through information to identify essential content. Additionally, some students struggle to locate relevant learning resources due to information barriers. Currently, the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures (SFS) lacks a comprehensive platform for learning materials. The survey results indicate that 75% of foreign language students express an urgent need for such a platform. Consequently, we propose the establishment of an online platform for integrating and sharing learning materials within SFS. This platform will be presented as a mini-program, featuring a forum that facilitates discussion and exchange among students. The platform will be managed by the college's Student Service Center. The initial year's costs are estimated at approximately 2460 RMB, encompassing development and maintenance. From the second year onwards, the annual maintenance cost will be around 660 RMB. This platform offers significant benefits for SFS students and the college as a whole. For students, it streamlines the process of locating learning resources, saving time, energy, and financial resources. This enhanced efficiency fosters increased learning motivation. Furthermore, the platform encourages peer learning and facilitates effective academic exchange by incorporating communication and discussion features. For SFS, the integration of this digital platform with offline education enhances the quality of education. By addressing student needs, the platform demonstrates the college's commitment to student well-being and contributes to student recruitment efforts.
