Exploring the Causal Complexity of Ego Depletion in Open Innovation: An Asymmetric Configurational Analysis

The objective of this paper is to examine the intricate cause-and-effect relationship between high and non-high ego depletion using an asymmetric configurational approach. To achieve this, 213 Chinese open innovation enterprises are analyzed using a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to identify various configurations of two ability levels and three internal and external conditions.
