摘要:'Nutrient limitation can result in changes in the competition dynamics between different types of phytoplankton. In this study, we investigated the effects of nutrient limitation on the competition between cyanobacteria and green algae in a freshwater environment. We found that under low nutrient conditions, cyanobacteria had a competitive advantage over green algae due to their ability to fix nitrogen. However, when nutrients were added to the system, green algae were able to outcompete cyanobacteria due to their superior ability to utilize nutrients. Our results suggest that nutrient limitation can have significant effects on the competition between different types of phytoplankton, which can ultimately impact primary production in aquatic ecosystems.'
