Absence Excuse Letter for Nick Hill - 5th Grade

Dear Ms. Hudson,

I am writing to inform you that my son, Nick Hill, has been ill for the past two days and will not be able to attend school. Nick is a student in your 5th grade class.

Nick began experiencing flu-like symptoms on Monday evening, including a high fever, body aches, and a sore throat. We took him to see our family doctor on Tuesday, and he was diagnosed with influenza. The doctor has advised Nick to rest and recover at home for a few days.

I am writing to request your understanding and to ask that Nick be excused from school for the duration of his illness. We will keep him home until he has fully recovered and is no longer contagious.
