Aksai Chin: Disputed Territory Between India, China, and Pakistan

Aksai Chin is a region located in the northern part of the Indian subcontinent. It's a disputed territory between India, China, and Pakistan. Aksai Chin is a high-altitude desert situated in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. It covers an area of approximately 37,244 square kilometers. The region is strategically important as it connects China's Xinjiang region with Tibet. The dispute over Aksai Chin began in the late 1950s when China started building a road through the region. India claims the region as a part of its territory, while China considers it a part of its Xinjiang region. Pakistan also claims a part of the region, which it calls the Shaksgam Valley. The dispute over Aksai Chin has led to several military conflicts between India and China, including the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
