Graphene-Based Waveguide Photodetectors for High-Speed Silicon Photonics
Significant efforts have been dedicated to developing waveguide photodetectors for silicon photonics by incorporating various 2D materials, including graphene and BP, as summarized in Table 2. Notably, the exceptional carrier mobility of graphene makes it a promising candidate for the realization of high-speed waveguide photodetectors on silicon. This property, coupled with graphene's unique optoelectronic characteristics, presents a compelling opportunity to advance the performance of silicon-based optical devices.
