Central Source Radiation Influences Outflows in Active Galactic Nuclei

These observations, along with the line-locking effects observed in (Lu & Lin 2019) and the coordinated increase in emission lines seen in (Lu & Lin 2020), strongly suggest that the outflows in these sources are being influenced by radiation from the central source. As a result, (Lu & Lin 2019; Lu & Lin 2020) have proposed that the velocity shifts observed in these BALs may be a result of actual acceleration caused by central source radiation.
