Friend: 'Hey, thank you so much for the birthday gift! It was really thoughtful of you.'

Me: 'You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it! What did you think of it?'

Friend: 'Oh, it was perfect! I loved the (insert gift details here), it was exactly what I wanted.'

Me: 'That's great to hear! I was hoping it would be something you'd enjoy. How was your birthday overall?'

Friend: 'It was really good! I had a nice dinner with my family and then we all watched a movie together. I even got a cake and some other gifts too.'

Me: 'That sounds like a great celebration! I'm so happy you had a good time.'

Friend: 'Thanks again for the gift, it really means a lot to me.'
