Spine Model Experiment for Medical Image and Patient Space Registration Accuracy
To verify the accuracy of medical image and patient space registration, a spine model experiment was designed. Firstly, the spine model was prepared according to the human spine. After the experiment model was prepared, CT medical sequence images and X-ray images of the model need to be obtained. The medical images used in this study were obtained from the Department of Radiation Therapy of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital in Tianjin. Firstly, the spine model was scanned by CT to obtain the CT medical sequence images of the model; then the spine model was photographed by X-ray to simulate the intraoperative X-ray images, and obtain the two-dimensional images of the spine and the spatial position of personalized markers, as shown in Figure 5. The parameters of CT medical sequence images were: slice thickness of 3mm; pitch: 0.8027; actual size: 411×411mm; pixel size: 512×512. The parameters of X-ray images were: pixel spacing of 0.388mm; pixel size: 1024×768.
