Abstract

This paper analyzes the relationship between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions. The study uses econometric software Eviews to conduct empirical analysis on the data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2019. The results show that there is a positive correlation between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions. The regression equation can effectively explain the relationship between the two variables.

Introduction

The construction industry is an important pillar industry of the national economy. In recent years, with the rapid development of the Chinese economy, the construction industry has also achieved impressive results. The total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises are important indicators to measure the development level of the construction industry. The analysis of the relationship between the two can provide reference for the development of the construction industry.

In this paper, we use Eviews software to analyze the data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2019, and explore the relationship between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions.

Data and Methodology

Data source

The data used in this study comes from the China Statistical Yearbook, which provides the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in 30 provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2019.

Methodology

The study uses the econometric software Eviews to conduct empirical analysis on the data. The basic method is the multiple linear regression analysis, which aims to explore the relationship between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions.

Results

Descriptive statistics

Table 1 shows the descriptive statistics of the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in 30 provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2019. From the table, we can see that the average total output value of the construction industry is 789.24 billion yuan, and the average total profit of construction enterprises is 46.67 billion yuan.

Correlation analysis

Table 2 shows the correlation matrix of the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in 30 provinces and cities in China from 2010 to 2019. From the table, we can see that there is a strong positive correlation between the two variables, with a correlation coefficient of 0.91.

Regression analysis

Table 3 shows the regression results of the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions. The regression equation is:

Total profit = 7.05 + 0.048 * Total output value

The R-squared value is 0.82, which means that the regression equation can effectively explain the relationship between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions.

Conclusion

In this paper, we use Eviews software to analyze the relationship between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions. The empirical analysis shows that there is a strong positive correlation between the two variables. The regression equation can effectively explain the relationship between the total output value of the construction industry and the total profit of construction enterprises in different regions. The study provides a reference for the development of the construction industry in China.
