High-Cycle Fatigue Testing of Simulated and Conventional Specimens at Room Temperature
For the simulation part, only the two sides (the surfaces of the transition arcs) were grinded using emery paper of #150. Room-temperature high-cycle fatigue (HCF) tests at 107 cycles were performed on a RUMUL high-frequency fatigue machine in air, in the load-control mode. The stress ratio R = 0 for the simulation part and R = 1 for the conventional specimen, were chosen and the frequency is about 100 Hz.
