Hemiplegia, Muscle Coordination, and Balance: A Network Analysis Perspective
These changes indicate that good standing balance performance is closely associated with loose overall topological connectivity and a lower degree of muscle inter-coupling. This suggests that pathologically enhanced muscle coordination may be a direct cause of poor balance ability in patients with hemiplegia. Improving muscle coordination to enhance balance control is a reliable approach. Additionally, the balance and fall risk of hemiplegic patients can be indirectly determined through network analysis.
