In the era of globalization, the interactions between Chinese and Western cultures have become increasingly frequent. This communication is not only limited to verbal exchanges but also extends to written communication, which holds a significant role. Nonetheless, the dissimilarities in language, thinking patterns, and values between Chinese and Western cultures can potentially hinder effective written communication. Consequently, the objective of this thesis is to examine how Chinese and Western cultures impact written communication and analyze this phenomenon through the lens of cross-cultural communication. By comprehending the commonalities and discrepancies between these two cultural perspectives, individuals can enhance their skills in cross-cultural written communication.
