Qixi Festival: A Celebration of Love in China

In recent years, more and more people have participated in the Qixi Festival in various ways to celebrate it. Firstly, offerings are made to the Cowherd and Weaver Girl, the central figures of the legend. In ancient times, it was believed that on this day, the lovers would cross the Milky Way to meet each other and receive good luck and blessings. Secondly, another popular way is for couples to have romantic dates, usually in beautiful places such as parks or riversides. Exchanging gifts or writing love letters is also common on this day.
