Currently, it has been reported that within the ARF family, ARF5/MONOPTEROS maintains the number of cambial stem cells by directly inhibiting the expression of the WOX4 gene. ARF5, ARF7, and ARF19 work together to further regulate the activity of the cambium by controlling the expression of HD-ZIP, WOX4, and PXY (ref9). However, no specific reports have been made on B3 transcription factors that are expressed specifically in the wood. By studying the function of B3 transcription factors in wood formation, a molecular basis can be provided to improve the regulation network of wood formation.
