Quality Control of P. Cuspidatum Powder and Ointment: A Comprehensive Analysis

The study revealed that 20 common peaks were identified in both p.cuspidatum powder and p.cuspidatum ointment, with a similarity greater than 0.95. Amongst them, seven were attributed and confirmed. The average content of total stilbene in p.cuspidatum powder and p.cuspidatum ointment, across 13 batches, was measured to be (427.154 ± 0.960 - 464.588 ± 3.118) mg/g and (90.135 ± 1.851 - 103.309 ± 1.754) mg/g, respectively. Similarly, the average content of total anthraquinone was (459.580 ± 1.202 - 550.121 ± 1.283) mg/g and (97.906 ± 1.477 - 110.988 ± 1.341) mg/g, respectively. The method's efficacy in assessing the quality of p.cuspidatum powder and p.cuspidatum ointment is validated, and it can be employed for quality control purposes.
