Arkham's Wild West: A Description of the Abandoned Farms

The hills west of Arkham are undulating, and in the valleys, there are dense woods that have never been logged. In the dark, narrow glens, trees slope fantastically, and thin brooklets trickle without ever catching the glint of sunlight. On the gentle slopes, there are ancient and rocky farms with squat, moss-coated cottages that brood eternally over old New England secrets in the lee of great ledges. However, these farms are now all vacant, with wide chimneys crumbling and the shingled sides bulging perilously beneath low gambrel roofs.
