A Lifelong Friendship: From Childhood Playmates to College Reunions
I have a lifelong friend with whom I share an unbreakable bond. We were both born in the same year and were neighbors, owing to our parents being esteemed teachers who resided in the teachers' apartment on campus during that time.
Our friendship blossomed from the moment we laid eyes on each other, and we spent our childhoods playing together, attending primary school together, and completing homework together. I fondly recall the Barbie dolls that were all the rage back then; we crafted cardboard homes for them and fashioned outfits from various materials. Her creative prowess and natural talent for design never ceased to amaze me.
We would often take leisurely strolls after dinner or snuggle up to watch Disney movies in her home. However, when we reached junior high school, her parents were transferred to another location. At that time, mobile phones were not yet ubiquitous, and we lost touch with each other.
The serendipitous moment of reconnection occurred during our college years. It was incredible that after six long years of being apart, we didn't feel any awkwardness or distance between us. Instead, we effortlessly resumed talking about everything under the sun.
