The purpose of my study was to explore the extent to which English majors rely on translation software to assist them in completing their translation assignments. To achieve this, I employed a questionnaire survey as my research method.

The findings of my study revealed that the vast majority of English majors use translation software to aid them in completing their assignments. They believe that this approach saves them time and energy, enhances the accuracy of their translations, and even helps to improve their translation skills. However, they also acknowledged that the translations provided by the software are not always perfect and require editing to render them grammatically correct, fluent, and coherent.

The significance of my research lies in the insight it provides to educators and language professionals. By understanding the use of translation software by students, educators can adjust their teaching methods to cater to the needs of students, while language professionals can offer better translation software that meets the needs of students.

In terms of the structure of my thesis, I begin by introducing the research problem and its significance. I then discuss the research methodology and the participants involved in the study. Finally, I discuss the implications of the study and offer recommendations for future research.
