Heat Stress Impact on Maize Yield During Flowering: A Three-Phase Analysis
Given that heat exposure during the flowering ('±7 days of silking') stage has been shown to decrease grain number, grain size, and final grain yield in previous studies (Wang et al., 2019; Liu et al., 2022), we divided the maize development stage into three phases to differentiate the impact of heat stress on yield during the flowering phase.
