Title: The Girl Who Wished to Grow

FADE IN:

EXT. PARK - DAY

A little girl, LUCY, around 7 years old, stands in front of a fountain. She gazes at her reflection in the water.

LUCY (whispers to herself) 'I wish I could grow taller. I want to be as tall as a tree.'

Suddenly, she sees a camera placed on a tripod near the fountain. She looks around and sees a man operating it.

MAN (smiling) 'Hi there! What's your name?'

LUCY 'I'm Lucy.'

MAN 'Nice to meet you, Lucy. What were you doing just now?'

LUCY 'I was making a wish. I want to grow taller.'

MAN 'That's a great wish. How about we make a deal? I'll take your picture every day for the next 20 years, and you'll grow one centimeter taller every day. By the time you're 27, you'll be as tall as a skyscraper.'

LUCY (eyes widen with excitement) 'Really? That sounds amazing!'

MAN 'It's a deal then. Let's shake on it.'

They shake hands.

MAN (cont'd) 'See you tomorrow, Lucy.'

LUCY 'Bye!'

The man packs up his camera and leaves. Lucy looks at the camera and smiles.

CUT TO:

INT. BEDROOM - 20 YEARS LATER

Lucy, now a grown woman, wakes up and stretches her arms. She walks to a full-length mirror and looks at herself. She's taller than the ceiling.

LUCY (to herself) 'I can't believe it. I'm as tall as a skyscraper.'

She hears a knock on the door. It's the man from the park, now an old man.

MAN 'Hi, Lucy. I'm here to take your picture one last time.'

LUCY 'Of course. Come on in.'

The man takes a picture of Lucy standing next to the mirror. He hands her the camera.

MAN (cont'd) 'Here you go. Keep it as a memory.'

LUCY 'Thank you so much for making my wish come true.'

MAN 'It was my pleasure. You've grown into an amazing woman.'

They say their goodbyes and the man leaves. Lucy looks at the camera and smiles. She can't believe how much she's grown.
