Intelligent Recommendation System for Graduates' Employment in China: Addressing the Challenges of a Mass Higher Education Era

As China's higher education shifts from 'elite' to 'mass' era, the number of college graduates in 2022 exceeded 10 million for the first time. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on employment is still ongoing, and some industries and companies have not yet recovered to pre-pandemic production and operation levels, making the job market for graduates extremely challenging. As a result, the employment work for college graduates has become increasingly difficult. Usually, college employment work includes large-scale job fairs and school-enterprise cooperation, which cannot meet the employment needs of students. Moreover, the vast majority of students do not have a clear career direction, exacerbating the employment problem.

This article analyzes and designs an intelligent recommendation system for graduates' employment with the background of a certain college. The construction of this system realizes the management and maintenance of graduate information, enterprise information, and recruitment information, and also realizes the intelligent recommendation of recruitment information. The system is mainly divided into student recommendation subsystem, enterprise subsystem, and administrator subsystem, and the improved user-based collaborative filtering algorithm is used as the intelligent recommendation algorithm. The student recommendation subsystem realizes functions such as personal information management, enterprise information management, recruitment information management, message management, and password modification. The enterprise subsystem realizes functions such as company information management, recruitment information management, job search information management, and password modification. The administrator subsystem provides management functions for student information, enterprise information, recruitment information, and accounts.
