Up to now, the only method that has successfully been put into practice is the solid-state fluidization approach, which involves initially breaking the solid gas hydrate within the formation and then mechanically fluidizing it into a hydrate slurry. This slurry is then transported through a transmission pipeline to the surface treatment facilities.
