The Meaningful Examination: A Journey of Overcoming Difficulties and Achieving Dreams

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen.

Today, I'd like to share with you my personal experience about the 'a meaningful examination'. As a young student, I always had a dream of attending the Nanjing Foreign Language School, but it seemed like an impossible task for me. I was not from a high-class background, nor was I particularly intelligent. However, with the encouragement of my teachers and parents, I realized that where there's a will, there's a way, and through daily training, I could excavate the road to NFLS.

The most thrilling moment came when it was time to have the significant examination. Before the formal one, I was made to do the test for trial. I easily overcame the new-language problem which had been regarded as the most difficult question. So, I thought the examination would be easy and that was perfect for my poor and off-working brain. But I was wrong. When I was busy solving the questions shown on the paper, I was really puzzled. They seemed so complex and weren’t understandable at all! I began to complain about the wicked paper and also the teachers who made the test. I was terribly unaided and doubted my ability after coming out of school.

But after anxiously waiting for the result, it turned out to be a success. I was permitted to study at NFLS! A brand new door to a bright future was opening for me!

As expected, the students here were strong and competitive, and the teachers were nice. Even though I probably ranked among the last few in my class, I felt proud to be an NFLSer because I could get a good education and study in a comparatively relaxing environment. There was enough time for myself as the school day only ended at about half past four in the afternoon.

The examination to enter NFLS was truly unforgettable. It was so meaningful that I spared no effort to achieve my goal and pursue my dream. It was a journey of overcoming difficulties and a guideline for how to stand still and strong. I learned a lot from that. Moreover, I can enjoy my school life in NFLS like I mentioned before.

Therefore, I believe that the examination means a lot. It is not just a test of knowledge and skills, but also a test of character, perseverance, and determination. It is a meaningful experience that teaches us the value of hard work, persistence, and the importance of never giving up on our dreams.
