Energy-Aware Quality Assurance Workflow Management for Prolonged Network Lifespan
This paper proposes a management mechanism for a quality assurance workflow that incorporates energy awareness. This mechanism presents a selection scheme that takes into account both service quality and energy consumption, along with an adaptive mechanism that balances the energy consumption. This approach is targeted towards dynamic workflow management throughout the user lifecycle. As the atomic IoT services' remaining energy will dynamically change during the workflow's runtime, the workflow is monitored during operation and the workflow plan is re-planned based on the remaining energy of the IoT services to prolong the entire network's lifespan.
