The 'Overseas Chinese Tourism and Culture Week' in 2022 recently ended successfully, and various overseas Chinese cultural centers and tourism offices received enthusiastic messages from many foreign visitors.

From September to October this year, the 2022 'Overseas Chinese Tourism and Culture Week' guided by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism was held globally. 56 overseas Chinese cultural centers and tourism offices held various online and offline activities such as special exhibitions, video screenings, and seminars for the overseas public, vividly telling stories of the protection and inheritance of Chinese outstanding traditional culture, cultural and tourism assistance in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and the innovative development of contemporary China, fully demonstrating the great achievements of socialist construction with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

During the 'Overseas Chinese Tourism and Culture Week', various overseas Chinese cultural centers and tourism offices innovatively used international communication methods to tell Chinese stories through diverse channels and various vivid examples, attracting a large number of foreign visitors' attention.

The Chinese Tourism Office in Rome, in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Exchange and Development Center and other institutions, planned and held an interactive activity called 'My China Story', inviting 10 Italian citizens with Chinese living experience from different professions such as martial arts coaches, young poets, famous bands, and travel agencies to tell their stories of working, living, and traveling in China in short videos, vividly demonstrating a credible, lovable, and respectable image of China.

The melodious singing of 'When Will the Moon Be Full?' pushed the poetry and song event 'Moonlit Sea and Red Journey' held by the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo to a climax. The videos related to the 2022 'Overseas Chinese Tourism and Culture Week' launched by the Cairo Chinese Cultural Center have been viewed more than 50,000 times on the center's multimedia platform, covering nearly 200,000 people.

The Chinese Cultural Center in Bangkok and the Chinese Tourism Office in Bangkok mainly promoted the event on Facebook, combined with the Sichuan 'Love Sichuan ka' project, and promoted digital resources related to the themes of 'urban construction', 'rural revitalization', 'intangible cultural heritage poverty alleviation', 'Yellow River culture', and 'Silk Road tourism' online, accumulating more than 300,000 audience coverage and 43,000 interactions.

The Chinese Cultural Center in Berlin held a cultural salon event called 'Rural Revitalization Brings Happy Life', focusing on rural revitalization, and introducing the concept of 'Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets' to German citizens through short films and special lectures, as well as the vivid practice of China's comprehensive implementation of rural revitalization strategies and active development of sustainable and environmentally friendly rural tourism in recent years, sharing China's solutions and experience.

After participating in the sharing session 'Telling Stories of Rural Revitalization and Urban Construction in China' jointly held by the Chinese Cultural Center in Singapore and the Chinese Tourism Office in Singapore, Singaporeans expressed that they have a deeper understanding of China's significant achievements in poverty alleviation, and they look forward to enhancing cultural exchanges and tourism between the two countries after the pandemic.

All these interesting online and offline cultural and tourism activities have comprehensively and stereoscopically demonstrated a credible, lovable, and respectable image of China, causing a warm response among foreign visitors.
