The Leaf's Journey: A Poem about Life's Cycle

I am but a leaf, adrift on the breeze A symbol of life, of growth, of ease I flutter and sway, in the warm sunlight A dance of nature, a beautiful sight

With each passing day, I change and transform My colors turn, from green to gold and warm I age and wither, but still I remain A part of the cycle, of loss and gain

As I fall to the ground, I am not alone For others like me, have also flown Together we rest, in a carpet of brown A gentle reminder, of life's ups and downs

But even in death, we still have a role For we nourish the earth, and make it whole From our decay, new life will grow A cycle unbroken, a beautiful flow

So though I may be small, and seem insignificant I am a part of something grand, something magnificent I am but a leaf, adrift on the breeze A symbol of life, of growth, of ease
