Describe Someone from a Different Culture: My Korean Friend Anna - IELTS Speaking Part 2

Well, I'd like to talk about my friend Anna, who's from South Korea. She's a very interesting person, and I've learned a lot about her culture through our conversations.

Firstly, Anna is very proud of her Korean heritage. She often wears traditional Korean clothing and accessories and loves to cook Korean food. She's even taught me how to make some of her favorite dishes, like kimchi and bibimbap.

Secondly, Anna is very respectful of her elders and values family above all else. She's told me that in Korean culture, it's important to take care of your parents and grandparents as they age. She also told me that it's common for families to live together in the same home, even after children have grown up and gotten married.

Finally, Anna has shared with me some of the challenges she's faced as an international student in a new country. She's had to adjust to a new language, culture, and education system. However, she's also made many new friends and has enjoyed exploring new places and trying new things.

Overall, I think Anna is a wonderful example of someone who embraces her cultural roots while also being open to new experiences and perspectives. I've learned a lot from her and feel fortunate to have her as a friend.
