Thermal Stability Analysis of Five Polymers Using Thermogravimetric Analysis

The figure clearly demonstrates that the decomposition temperature of the five polymers exceeds 400℃ at a weight loss rate of 50%, indicating their excellent thermal stability. The thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of the polymers exhibits a weight loss occurring in three stages. The first stage, characterized by a weight reduction below 210℃, is attributed to the desorption of absorbed water by the polymers containing amides, methylene, and sulfonic acid functional groups.
