Tasmania Reintroduces Masks at Royal Hobart Hospital Amid COVID-19 Surge

Tasmania has reintroduced mandatory mask-wearing for all visitors to the Royal Hobart Hospital as the state experiences a spike in COVID-19 cases. The decision comes as the state records another five deaths from the virus.

This means that all visitors to the Royal Hobart Hospital will now have to wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination status. The requirement is in place to help protect patients, staff and visitors from the spread of COVID-19.

The state government has urged Tasmanians to get vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19, as well as to follow public health advice to help slow the spread of the virus.
