Impact of Structural Modifications on Thermal Stability of Polymers
This study explores the impact of structural modifications on the thermal stability of polymers. Thermal analysis curves illustrate how structural modifications affect thermal stability, as evidenced by the decomposition temperature. The decomposition temperature of the polymer is primarily determined by the thermal stability of its macromolecular groups. The introduction of hydrophobic modifications leads to an increase in molecular weight and a more complex polymer structure, thereby improving the thermal stability of the polymers, as depicted in Figure 6.
