Analyzing 'Lying Flat' and '996' in Chinese Media: A Study of Chinadaily and WeChat Official Accounts

This research delved into 34 news pieces obtained from chinadaily, each incorporating the terms 'lying flat' and '996' and adhering to the intended meaning of 'lying flat'. Additionally, we meticulously selected 32 articles from Chinese official media accounts found on the WeChat public account platform, all of which included the phrase 'lying flat' to form the corpus of our study. Our selection philosophy and procedure are outlined below.
