Analyzing 'Lying Flat' Phenomenon: A Study of Chinese Media Discourse

For this study, 34 news articles from Chinadaily were chosen based on their inclusion of the keywords 'lying flat' and '996', and their adherence to the intended meaning of 'lying flat'. Furthermore, 32 articles were selected from official Chinese media accounts on WeChat's public account platform that discussed 'lying flat', and were included in the study corpus.
