My First English Story Competition

Last month, my school organized an English story competition for primary students. I was excited and nervous at the same time. I had never written a story in English before. However, I decided to give it a try.

I brainstormed ideas for my story and finally came up with a plot. It was a story about a boy who wanted to become a soccer player, but he was not good at playing soccer. He practiced every day and never gave up. One day, he finally scored the winning goal in a big game. The moral of the story was to never give up on your dreams.

I started writing my story, and I found it challenging to express my ideas in English. I had to use a dictionary and ask my English teacher for help. After several revisions, I finally finished my story.

On the day of the competition, I was nervous but excited to share my story with others. When it was my turn to present, I stood in front of the judges and the audience. I took a deep breath and started reading my story. I stumbled a few times, but I managed to finish it.

After all the presentations, the judges announced the winners. I was surprised and delighted when they called my name as the second-place winner. I received a certificate and a book as a prize.

Participating in the English story competition was a great experience for me. It gave me the opportunity to challenge myself and improve my English writing skills. I am grateful to my school for organizing such an event and giving me the chance to showcase my creativity.
