Taito Corporation is a Japanese video game developer and publisher. It was founded in 1953 as a manufacturer of vending machines, but later shifted its focus to arcade games in the 1970s. Taito is responsible for creating many classic arcade games such as 'Space Invaders', 'Bubble Bobble', and 'Arkanoid'. The company has since expanded into console and mobile game development, as well as amusement park attractions. Taito is now a subsidiary of Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd.
