Leftover Ladies: China's 'Single' Problem and Why It's All About the Numbers

So, there's this big news story going around, something about 800,000 'leftover' women in Beijing. Sounds like a pretty big order of Chinese takeout, right? And it's not just Beijing, these amazing, accomplished women over 35 are all over Shanghai and Shenzhen, still looking for a man. Now, some people are asking, 'Hey, if there are more men than women in China, why is it so hard to find a boyfriend?' Well, let me tell you, those numbers are a bit misleading. You see, men are spread out all over the place, like a big ol' bag of chips. You got your top guys, your bottom guys, and then some in the middle. But women? They're mostly in the middle, just like a nice, evenly-baked cake. These middle-ground women, they're always looking up at the top, trying to snag one of those high-roller men. But those guys, they don't need to get married! They've got ladies lined up around the block. It's a real catch-22, folks! So, you've got all these single women, and a lot of single guys too. Why?
