1. Despite + 名词

2. Despite + 代词

despite和in spite of的区别

Despite和in spite of都表示‘尽管’，但它们的用法略有不同。Despite通常紧跟一个名词或代词，而in spite of通常紧跟一个名词短语。例如：

Despite the rain, we went out to play. (名词)

In spite of the rain, we went out to play. (名词短语)

此外，in spite of还可以紧跟从句，但despite不行：

In spite of the fact that he was tired, he still went to work.

注意事项

1. Despite后面不接句子，只能接名词、代词或动名词。

2. Despite和in spite of不能和although或but连用。
