Data Governance and International Law: Research Interests and Contributions
I am really interested in your field and your research, especially in open government data and information law in international law. During my participation in the legislative process of Xiamen city, I became very interested in government-enterprise data sharing and open data policies. As part of the legislative program for the Xiamen Special Economic Zone, I helped develop rules for sharing, openness, and development of public data, as well as rules for collecting, aggregating, and managing the quality of public data.
In my doctoral dissertation, I plan to focus on the intersection of data governance and international law. Specifically, I will be observing the international legislative process for private parties' participation in data governance. I have written three papers in this field, one of which is titled 'Complementary Functions of Private Parties in Governance of Data Cross Border Flow: Generation Logic, Participatory Paths, and Implications'. I am particularly interested in how technology is enabling private parties, especially big tech companies, to engage in internet governance.
