To ensure that no genes with significant but subtle functional differences were overlooked, we conducted GSEA enrichment analysis on all genes within the dataset. Our findings suggest that 'Antigen processing and presentation', 'Apoptosis', 'Proteasome', and 'Th1 and Th2 cell differentiation' could be linked to IHF, with these biological functions involving programmed cell death, inflammation, and immunity. To identify key IHF genes, we then compared differentially expressed genes with important module genes in WGCNA, resulting in 92 key IHF genes. Subsequently, we conducted GO and KEGG enrichment analyses on these key IHF genes. The GO analysis categories included Biological Processes (BP), Cellular Components (CC), and Molecular Functions (MF), and we will present the top five results for each category. As KEGG enrichment analysis yielded few pathways, we will present all enriched results. Please refer to Figure 4 for visual representations of our findings.

In summary, our study has identified several biological functions related to IHF and has highlighted 92 key IHF genes through in-depth analysis. We hope that our findings will contribute to a better understanding of IHF and its underlying mechanisms.
