Acetylcholine, a typical biomarker in biomedical imaging, has been widely applied in human prostate cancer tumor imaging models, particularly in PET. However, the use of radioactive small molecular metabolic biomolecules in this method poses potential harm to the human body. To address this concern, we designed and synthesized an open-type near-infrared fluorescent probe (CyOH-TPA) that specifically responds to azido acetylcholine. This probe provides a safer alternative to radioactive methods for prostate cancer imaging, offering a promising approach for early diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
