Topological Effect on OER Activity in Ru-Substituted MnO2 Polymorphs
Modulating MnO2 with heteroatoms is a useful method for creating and adjusting catalytically active sites for electrochemical water oxidation. Although much research has focused on understanding how dopant configuration and coordination affects catalytic activity, less attention has been paid to how the structurally modified MnO2 host impacts the intrinsic activity of these sites. This study systematically examines the impact of topology on the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) activity of partially Ru-substituted MnO2 of different polymorphs.
