Impact of Shiitake Mushroom Polysaccharides on Gut Microbiota and Immune Function in Immunosuppressed Mice
The aim of this chapter is to investigate the impact of polysaccharides from shiitake mushrooms on the gut microbiota of immunosuppressed mice. Based on the results of in vivo experiments, it was found that LNT significantly increased the number and proportion of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes in the Peyer's patches of the intestine. Given the close relationship between gut microbiota and immunity, this chapter further analyzes the mechanism by which LNT enhances immune function from the perspective of gut microbiota.
