Hydrodynamic Modeling and Ecological Remediation of Shizitan Reservoir Ebb Zone in Chongqing, China
This paper presents a study on the hydrodynamic calculation and sediment erosion conditions of the Shizitan Reservoir, located in Changshou District of Chongqing City, using the MIKE21 software. The sediment module in MIKE21 is utilized to analyze the sediment erosion conditions of the ebb zone in different periods. Subsequently, the ebb zone is graded based on the water flow, water velocity, and sediment erosion conditions. The water quality situation in the reservoir area is then combined with the grading to select suitable planting plants for each level of section. The proposed plant is expected to degrade pollutants through its own adsorption. The water quality and water ecology module of the MIKE21 model is used to evaluate the water quality changes after treatment, and the water quality is comprehensively evaluated based on the results. Finally, suggestions for improving the ecological environment in the area are proposed.
The study reveals the environmental evolution and water quality improvement mechanism of the Shizitan Reservoir region's water dissipation zone. This study provides a basis for the ecological management of the ebb and flow zone of the Shizitan Reservoir and offers reference suggestions for the water environment management of the Shizitan Reservoir.
